SAHPA Basic Pilot License Course

Congratulations on choosing the best SAHPA registered school in South Africa and you are now 9 days away from becoming a certified paragliding pilot. Our qualified instructors have trained thousands of pilots since 1987 and we don’t just follow the SAHPA training manual, we wrote it. The basic licence is the minimum requirement to legally fly without supervision or instruction at all the basic rated flying sites in South Africa. It is a thorough and intensive paragliding course designed to give you the basic building blocks on which to develop and enhance your paragliding skills after the course.

We believe that training in a safe environment (Wilderness, Kleinkrantz and Sedgeview) with a slow progression – from ground handling, dune hopping or ground skimming to doing flights from higher take-off sites – is the best way to learn and improve your confidence and skill as a pilot. After your basic licence course, we then introduce you to other Cape Town sites, like Lion’s Head, Porterville, Picketberg, Hermanus etc. Also, keep Easter weekend open for our Thermalling trip to Porterville.

Enquire now and we’ll send you a breakdown of all the fees involved. During this paragliding course you will learn the following:
