INTERNATIONALLY APPROVED FLARE TRAINING
Wallendair offers a FLAIR and SACAA Approved FLARE Differences Course.
This 2 – 3 day (weather dependant) DIFFERENCES Course focuses on the refinement of skills and adaptions required to cross-over from paragliding to Flare.
If you have no previous training, we will first complete a basic training course with you, before proceeding to Flare Training.
If you are already a qualified pilot, we will focus entirely on the skills required for Flaring.
Specifically Technique Adaptation, Speed Control, Precision Handling and Safety
By the end of your training, you will: Understand the FLARE system and its differences. Fly with greater precision and control. Safely operate in conditions where paragliders cannot AND Have the skills to continue progressing confidently.
Flare Differences Course
Learn to Fly a Moustache- All Training is done along the beautiful Garden Route coastline.
- The best site is selected each morning based on local conditions. You’ll fly a range of sites throughout the course — building experience across coastal ridge soaring, thermals, and sand dune launches.

OTHER USEFUL INFORMATION
TRANSPORT
There are shuttles between Cape Town and Wilderness.
Or you can fly into George Airport and arrange transport from there.
On the days that we train, transport is supplied. Wallend-Air will transport you between flying sites.
ACCOMMODATION
We offer our fellow flyers, students, guests and friends accommodation in our home on an informal Bed & Breakfast basis.
Wallend-Air Base Camp has 4 rooms, and can comfortably accommodate ten people.
